HBO continues with the premiere of the acclaimed Season 6 of Game of Thrones. In episode 4, Book of the Stranger, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) fight for control and power in author George R.R. Martin's ongoing epic saga.

After leaving the Night's Watch, Jon Snow is already packing his things when Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) show up. Sansa and Jon hug after they see each other.During their reunion, Sansa and Jon forgive each other for their childhood mistakes and laugh while drinking ale.

Jon and Sansa realize they have to fight the Boltons to get back home. If they don't fight for the North, they will never be safe. Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) learns from Melisandre (Carice van Houten) what happened to Stannis. Brienne interrupts and tells Davos she executed Stannis.

Little Finger (Aidan Gillen) returns to find the traitor who squealed about his plans with Sansa. Little Finger manipulates his way into getting an army to fight the Boltons. Elsewhere Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) has a council meeting with the slavers and offers 7 years to end slavery. In return, the leaders will cut off their support to the Sons of Harpee.

Tyrion argues with Grey Worm about who is being controlled. Dario (Michiel Huisman) and Jorah (Iain Glen) continue their search to find Daenerys. Daario knows Jorah has been infected and promises to kill him before it gets worse. After the two manage to kill some guards, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) realizes how trapped she has become.

Margery (Natalie Dormer) meets with the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pyrce) and pleads to see her husband and brother. After retuning back to her cell, Margery finds her brother beaten and broken on the floor. When he starts to weep, Margery tries to keep him strong.

The King tells Cersei (Lena Headey) what the High Sparrow told him. Cersei and Jamie (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) then meets with Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg). They want to prevent Margery from talking her own Walk of Atonement. Olenna has to stand down and let Jamie's army stand down when they strike against the High Sparrow. There will be a civil war if the capture of the High Sparrow fails.

Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) returns home and is unwelcomed by his sister. Theon doesn't want to be king. He wants to help his sister rule. Osa (Natalia Tena) is unafraid of Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) as she attempts to seduce him. He stabs Osa first before she can strike him down.

Jon Snow receives a threatening message from Ramsay, who has Rickon as his hostage. A monster has taken their home and their brother. Jon has no choice but to stay as Lord Commander.

Daenerys meets with the men of Drgo, mocks them, and burns them alive. Dario and and Jorah now know where she is. Everyone witnesses as Daenerys walks out of the flames and kneel down before here.
