Supernatural Season 11 Spoilers: Will Jared Padalecki/Jensen Ackles Sam/Dean Meet "Old Faces?"

The CW network  has released Season 11 photos of Supernatural. As the war against The Darkness continues, will Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) need the help of "old familiar" faces after author Chuck Shurley aka God (Rob Benedict)'s return?

As we previously mentioned, all things have changed in the ongoing war against The Darkness. In his attempt to find another human vessel, Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) actually thought of inhabiting Sam, the one who humiliated him before. Because Sam and Dean needed a win desperately, Castiel made the sacrifice and left himself be taken over by Lucifer. Will Lucifer fulfill his promise and get rid of The Darkness, or have Sam and Dean already failed?

According to Entertainment Weekly, Chuck proved himself as the Almighty by bringing back Kevin Tran (Osric Chau). The fan-favorite prophet returned from the grave to assure the Winchester brothers that they could trust Chuck/God. Chuck then gave Kevin an angel upgrade in return.

On the official Instagram account, Benedict shared the reunion and writes, "..and of course, that would make this "Still Life With Chau." It was so great to get the band back together, we've all developed terrific friendships outside of the show- so to work together was a dream. PS. No one told Jensen he didn't have to be in character for this one. - @RoBenedict"

EW's Spoiler Room mentions has some scoop about possible reunions from some other familiar faces. Benedict reveals, "They're cut from the same cloth. So it's a delicate thing, and he definitely needs [Sam and Dean] and anyone else he can get. He can't do it by himself."

Season 11 of Supernatural continues on the CW Thursdays 9pm.
