Baywatch Movie Cast PHOTOS: Alexandra Daddario, True Detective Beauty's Summer Release Date!

After delivering an unforgettable performance in True Detective, actress Alexandra Daddario continues to scorch up the big screen. Joining the cast of Baywatch movie currently underway, Daddario shines in new PHOTOS teasing the summer release date.

As we previously mentioned, the Percy Jackson star is currently working on her latest project, which reunites her with her San Andreas co-star, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Based on the popular TV series of the same name, co-stars Priyanka Chopra and Kelly Rohrbach are already fitting into their tight red swimsuits. A red-band trailer was presented at the recent CinemaCon, teasing an R-rating for the feature film.

In the Baywatch mythology, Summer Quinn was originally played by Charles in Charge actress Nicole Eggert's character. Summer lived with her mother, Jackie, who was the owner of the restaurant, Jackie's Summer Place, on the beach. Summer could be distinguished by the tattoo around her right ankle. Daddario appears to be sporting a similar tattoo on the back of her left arm.

According to Deadline, Paramount has released the first official cast photo from its movie adaptation of the popular TV series. The cast in their trunks and swimsuits strike a seaside pose in a fun postcard style image.The ensemble includes Jon Bass, Daddario, Zac Efron, Dwayne Johnson, Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera.

On her official Instagram account, Daddario shares the snapshot and writes, "We are officially wrapped on baywatch... Can't believe it but we will be in theaters one year from today. #BayDay !!!"

The plot follows devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (The Rock) as he butts heads with a brash new recruit (Efron). Reluctantly joining together, the ragtag duo uncovers a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.

Baywatch will arrive in theaters on May 19, 2017.
