Gotham S02E22: Transference Robin Lord Taylor, Ben McKenzie Finale Recap

Fox continues Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, with Wrath of the Villains. In episode 22 finale, Transference, can Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) handle Dr. Hugo Strange (BD Wong)?

As the police force surrounds Arkham Asylum, Clayface has assumed the identity of Jim Gordon. In the basement, Strange detonates the bomb and plans his escape.

Bruce (David Mazouz) and Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk) are forced to play Nygma (Cory Michael Smith)'s riddles. Strange drugs Gordon to get the truth out of him. Clayface continues his lies with Bullock (Donal Logue).  As Nygma continues his riddles, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) tries to touch Ms. Peabody and misses. 

Penguin gets excited about the news going on with Strange. Gordon reveals his secrets to Strange, who absolves him o his sins. Jim doesn't know about the Secret Council, which pleases Strange. 

After Fox answers incorrectly, Nygma unleashes the poisonous gas. Lucius and Bruce shake hands before dropping to the floor.  Fox and Bruce suddenly wake up next to Jim, who's still strapped to his chair. 

Strange praises Nygma before locking him back in his cell. The Court of Owls orders the death of the prisoners and destructions of Strange's experiments. Fish Mooney finally comes into contact with Ms. Peabody and takes control of her.

As the alarms sound off in Arkham Asylum, Strange pulls the levers and shuts down Arkham. To save Selina (Camren Bicondova), Firefly ends up in a confrontation with Mister Freeze (Nathan Darrow). Selina ends up rescuing the others as Firefly defends her. As the two cross their streams of fire and ice, Strange ends up getting caught in the crossfire.

Barbara (Erin Richards) shows up at the precinct, getting the attention of Clayface. As Clayface hits on Barbara, she notices something is when he bad-mouths Lee. After Barbara realizes that it's not Jim she's talking to, she slaps Clayface. Because of the slap, Clayface isn't able to keep his mask together.

As Bullock unless his police force, Barbara calls in on Penguin. After Jim wakes him up, Strange reveals he detonated the bomb. Jim and Fox need Nygma's help to get to the secret lab.

While Fish plans her escape,Jim and Fox find the bomb in the lair; they only have one minute left. As Fish drives away in a stolen bus, Jim and Fox improvise; they freeze the wires and stop the bomb.

With Nygma stuck in the cell, Strange has been arrested. With the cops chasing after the stolen bus, Butch (Drew Powell) opens fire o the bus. Penguin is shocked to find Fish sill alive and standing in front of him. Butch is even scared of Fish.

Jim tells Bruce that he has to go and fine Leslie. Bruce and Alfred (Sean Pertwee) now have to search and find out who the Secret Council is. 

The Villains of Gotham City have been unleashed, including Bruce's clone brother.
