Could Neil Young fans be seeing the last of the legendary rocker this summer? According to Crazy Horse guitarist Frank "Poncho" Sampedro Neigh Young and Crazy Horse may be on their final world tour. Sampedro is 64-years-old, but still the youngest of the group and he has a gut feeling the band's shows this summer could be their last. Young and Crazy Horse will be continuing their European leg of the tour in the coming weeks.

In his interview with Rolling Stone magazine Sampedro expressed concern over the band's future. "I just think once it stops it's going to be kind of hard to get it rolling again," Sampedro told the magazine. "My gut tells me this is really the last tour. I hate saying their ages, but I'm 64 and I'm the baby of the band. I love playing and we're playing as good as we ever did, but at any time something could go down with any one of us."

Young and Crazy Horse have been very busy over the last year or so, releasing two records last year titled Americana and Psychedelic Pill. The band has also been on a world tour since last August in what is described as a physical show. According to the Crazy Horse guitarist their shows often go over two-and-a-half hours. "It takes a lot of energy to play that much," said Sempedro. "It just seems at some point something is going to break. I already had an operation on my thumb. Neil's wrist bugs him, and he has to tape it when he plays. You can't fool time. You can't count on this happening again in five years."

On the next leg of their tour, the band will be performing ten shows through Europe, beginning June 2 in Germany and concluding June 17 in England.
