Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, Specs Update: Will It Restore Samsung's Reputation?

The year 2017 is the expected set for the updated version of Samsung Galaxy. The new and improved Samsung Galaxy 8 will transform into a major overhaul as Samsung promised their loyal fans.

As the stiff competition between Smartphones today and there are lots of companies such as Apple and Google finally released their stars, Samsung has a reputation to restore. The company plans to do it through possibly improving the features and hardware of Samsung Galaxy 8.

Most notable in Samsung's history is the battery problems of Note 7, which made Samsung's reputation suffer. This is the reason why the company wanted to push the innovation of Galaxy S8, to win back the heart of their supporters.

According to Trusted Views, Samsung is expected to launch five flagship devices throughout the year of 2017, the base from tech rumors that are arising today. One of those is tipped to be a foldable Galaxy X. However, familiar entries look like, too and these are the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Edge and Galaxy Note 8.

February 26, 2017 is the expected release date of the new Samsung Galaxy S8, as reported by PC Advisor. And this prediction was based on the flagship on how the previous Galaxy S phones models arrived.

On top of this, the Galaxy S8 is also rumored to lose its Home Button as part of its changes. Plus, the fingerprint scanner built into a screen that is not only curved on the left and right edges but also top and bottom.

Another theory arises that Samsung was hinted at removing the flat-screen version which will then be replaced with the side model. Also, the company is sourcing 5.1 and 5.1-inch dual-edge screens.

Koh Dong-Jin, head of the tech giant's mobile business, said in an interview, "Samsung has considered that it would make the edge display as the identity of the Galaxy S smartphone lineup if the company can provide consumers differentiated user experience through software and user-friendly functions."
