Pacific Rim 2 will start filming this November and the movie Director Guillermo del Toro said: "it is going to be big and end big."

Kaijus and jaegers are at it again in Legendary's 'Pacific Rim: Maelstorm', the follow-up to the 2013's 'Pacific Rim'. According to Blastr, the production of the movie has found the female lead to join Scott Eastwood and John Boyega in this Sci-fi movie.

Filming will start this November in Australia and China, but as of the moment we don't get much about the scheme of 'Pacific Rim 2', and possibly won't for a while.

Cinema Blend said there are some reports that the movie had more focus on the monstrous Kaiju. Kaiju is an amphibious creature that was genetically manipulated by the Precursors a race from the Anteverse.

In 'Pacific Rim' 2013, the precursors opened an entryway  dimensions at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, allowing Kaiju to enter Earth's dimension. It is planned to use as a biological weapon, Kaiju are very hostile and toxic engineered to kill all mankind.

At the end of the 2013's 'Pacific Rim' movie the portal was destroyed using the jaeger "Gypsy Danger" so I am really wondering how will Del Toro pull off the sequel.

Presumably, after they banished the Kaiju, they have found a way to come back once again and we might need the help of Jaegers once more. They are the giant robotic suit engineered to battle this monster. Del Toro gave a hint that we might see the Kaiju-obsessed Dr. Newton Geiszler and Hermann Gottlieb.

Questions are what are they up to now, knowing they don't have a Kaiju to experiment on? What are they going to do with the Jaegers when there is no monster?
Whatever the storyline they have, I must say this is a movie worth waiting, the release date will be on February 23, 2018.
