'The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Cast Update, Air Date and Predictions: Will Maggie Be Killed?

Season 6 of "The Walking Dead" left fans hanging for months leaving a last scene where Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) killed a cast member, offcam. Over the weekend, at the New York Comic Con, the first clip for Season 7 has been shown at "The Walking Dead" panel.

According to he report by TV Guide, it could be that Maggie will be the victim of Negan's bat. In the clip, the right side of Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) face has a splash of blood. The blanket that Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) had worn when shot and beaten in the finale of Season 6 is also seen.

Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) engagement ring can also be seen among the bloody pulps of brain and guts. This leads to the speculation that Maggie will die, given that she was on Rick's right side in the line-up. This could be a misdirection of who Negan really killed. According to a report, eleven variations of the scene was shot to prevent, even the crew, to know the real deal.

Eleven different promos have been created for each character. All have line "The Beginning". Negan's promo scene showed the words "The End" on it.

In another report, Digital Spy speculated that another character will die in Season 7. In comics, Spencer Monroe, played by Austin Nichols, is to die in the hands of Negan after he requests Negan to kill Rick.

He believed that Rick is not fit to be made the leader of Alexandria. He was convinced that a deal could have been made with the Saviors if Rick did not charge to kill the Saviors. This resulted to the death of his family.

According to the comics, Spencer privately saw Negan, without Rick's knowledge, and requested him to kill Rick. Negan responded by slashing his stomach open with a knife. The character bio of Spencer for the TV series is the same, therefore speculations that he too is to die in Season 7 cannot be avoided.

Season 7 of the "The Walking Dead" is fast approaching. It will air on AMC on October 23 and October 24 on FOX UK.
