When news broke out that Microsoft's Xbox One was totally hammering Sony's PS4 in every essence, nobody thought that even game developers would soon abandon the older PS4. Actually both consoles are equally old in the market, only that the PS4 was released about a week earlier than Xbox One. Even so, it seems that most gamers are more inclined to play games on Xbox One than in PS4. This can be confirmed by the recent NPD sales reports as of last month (September 2016).

The realization that Xbox One consoles are selling more than PS4 consoles has somehow shifted the minds of developers to come up with more Mods for Xbox One than in PS4. This has translated to bigger Mods space provision for games meant to be played on Xbox One, than in those for PS4. Skyrim Remaster, one of the best games in both consoles, is a good case in point of this injustice that programmers and developers are inflicting on PS4.

According to Gamespot, the mod space for Skyrim Remaster's new upgrade, (The Elder Scrolls V) will be 1GB on PS4 and five time more in Xbox One (5GB). There is an argument that PS4 consoles don't need much modding space either, since their mods aren't as big as those of Xbox One, but even if this was the case, the extra Mod space would mean that more developers would participate in developing more 3rd Party mods for PS4.

Express published that the 5 GB in Mod space for Xbox One is actually an upgrade from the 2GB that the console received from Fallout 4. However, it beats logic to add more mod space to PS4 if the mods are just a few megabytes in size. All mods to the game will be available on Steam and all developers who wish to create mods for the game should have an account at Bethesda.net.

Worse than that, developers on Sony's PS4 consoles will be deprived off the privilege for uploading external assets and will only use those that Sony has approved. From the look of things, gaming on PS4 will soon be boring as things get merrier on Xbox One.
