“The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 Episode 2 ‘Today Will Be Different’ Updates, Spoilers, Release

Season 8 is the final season for the hit supernatural series "The Vampire Diaries." In episode 1 "Hello Brother," viewers saw Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, and Enzo, played by Michael Malarkey being controlled by the dark forces controlled by Sybil, played by Natalie Kelley.

It looked like Enzo is trying to resist the dark force however, Damon looked completely hooked. In the next episode 'Today Will Be Different' Sybil's control over the two men will continue however Bonnie, played by Kat Graham, is there to the rescue. She, Caroline, played by Candice King, and Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, head to North Carolina to stop Enzo and Damon.

A promotional video and exclusive stills were released to announce "Today Will Be Different" to air on The CW. Comic Book Movie reported that the next episode will feature Stefan, Bonnie and Caroline heading to North Carolina. Bonnie will do all she can to release Enzo from the grip of the negative force that is controlling him. And while it looks like the same force controls Enzo and Damon, the later seems to be completely under the power of the force. It could take more than Bonnie to release Damon from its control.

Meanwhile Alaric, played by Matt Davis, and Georgie, played by Allison Scagliotti, have found something at the Armory that could help free Damon and Enzo. The trailer also showed an unexpected surprise for Caroline from Stefan. This will be revealed in 'Today Will Be Different.'

Melty on the other hand, reported that Damon was not really completely under the control of Sybil. In the trailer, Sybil could be heard asking Damon were does his subconscious go when he resists her. It was also seen that Sybil is very much interested in Damon to the point that she interrupts his thoughts about Elena.

Sybil is the new villain in the series and there are speculations that she won't be giving up Damon and Enzo that easily. "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 2 "Today Will Be Different" will air on October 28, 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
