Even though the first half of the season turned out to be a litmus test, which prepares the team managers for the trading game, rumors persist that LaMarcus Aldridge is now unstoppable from turning out for Atlanta Hawks rather than the Boston Celtics.

The Morning Ledger reported that the 31-year old power forward LaMarcus Aldridge is now at the center of trade rumors. The role of the new franchise player for offense has been given to Kawhi Leonard, which made LaMarcus really unhappy.

As per Inquisitr, the Atlanta Hawks have been brought up as a team that could strike up a deal for Aldridge. This plan looks like another strange move from the Hawks, which picked Dwight Howard recently for the team in the offseason.

Recent speculations said that Atlanta Hawks has plans to pair Aldridge and Howard to make up a sort of "twin towers" combo frontcourt in Atlanta. The primary purpose is for rebounding and rim protection, and hopefully, the pairing would work well.

Hawks is somehow expecting that the presence of Aldridge might help them after becoming stagnant for the last decade or so, and from consistently being knocked out from the first and second round of the Playoffs every year since 2008. Meanwhile, Hawks are getting desperate to make history most especially under coach Mike Budenholzer.

With the Cleveland Cavaliers showing in the playoffs that the Atlanta Hawks are not really on their level, getting so desperate, Hawks added Dwight Howard and tried to mix in just to compete for as much as possible. Aldridge being on Atlanta Hawks would certainly be a good condition, even if Howard will be ditched if he doesn't pan out just like in Lakers or Rockets.
