After fans and followers of "Walking Dead" saw Negan beat Abraham and Glenn to death in the season premiere, a new clip emerged showing a different victim. There was much weeping after Glenn was knocked dead by Negan's barbed wire-covered baseball bat however in the new footage, his wife Maggie was the victim.

Mail Online reported the exclusive leaked footage that featured an alternative death scene. The clip was from 'We Got This Covered' and was described as very grainy. Glenn was supposed to be the next victim after Abraham but it can be seen in the footage that he is crying over the death of his wife Maggie.

Maggie can't be put down after a single blow so she can be seen on her knees spitting out blood. Negan could be heard shouting his usual taunt, "Oh, look at that!" he added, "taking it like a champ!"

Variety revealed the reason for this alternate death scene. It said that the showrunners of the series actually filmed a number of death scenes; different versions using different characters. These clips were used as teaser premieres as characters envision their own deaths in the hands of Negan.

It was actually hard to film all these alternate endings, said Jeffrey Dean Morgan who played Negan. He said that the entire episode was already hard to film, so imagine having to hit every one on the set with his bat. Everyone took a hit and it was hard, he added. Meanwhile there were no comments from AMC regarding how the footage was obtained.

Negan's killing spree in the premiere of season 7 actually drew 17 million viewers. This number was actually short of the crowd it was able to gather in season 5. "Walking Dead" airs every Monday at 9 p.m. on FOX. The next episode will focus on King Ezekiel, The Kingdom and his pet tiger in "The Well."
