The current season of the longest running American police drama in CBS was reported to have not done so well in ratings. "NCIS" Season 14 premiered in September without Michael Weatherly which was thought to have attributed to the drop of the show's numbers.

Michael Weatherly played Special Agent Tony Dinozzo Jr. in the show. In the previous season of "NCIS", he took a permanent leave when he found his long lost daughter with Ziva David (Cote de Pablo). The leave was to be with his daughter and to mourn the loss of his wife and former teammate, Ziva.

Cancellation rumors have been circulating with Weatherly's absence because a lot of viewers have missed his character, resulting to lesser viewership. The network, however, have announced that the show will live on for Season 15 said the report by Parent Herald.

Weatherly have starred on his own show "Bull". Rumor has it that "Bull" was not much of a hit and that a cancellation might just be lurking in the sides. There were speculations that Weatherly might get back to "NCIS" in case "Bull" gets cancelled. He had stated in the past that he is open into getting back to "NCIS" if they need him. There were no confirmation of the report though and the show is not that low

Movie News Guide's report indicated that cancellation of "Bull" is not happening anytime soon because its rating looks good. There were 12.29 million household that thought that the recent episode was worth watching.

In the upcoming episode of "NCIS" Season 14 titled "Home of the Brave", Torres (Wilmer Valderama) breaks protocol when he learns that a witness of an NCIS case is wanted in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The witness thinks that "he is in the wrong place at a wrong time," according to the trailer.

In another story in the episode of "NCIS", Robert Wagner who plays Tony Dinozzo Sr. will be back in the show as a guest. He will be wooed by Abby (Pauley Perrette), McGee (Sean Murray) and Bishop (Emily Wickersham) into having Tony Jr.'s luxurious apartment rented out to them. "Home of the Brave" is episode seven of "NCIS" Season 14, it will be aired on Tuesday, November 1, at 8:00 p.m. on CBS
