Disney's Beauty and the Beast Official First Look!

The Beauty and the Beast live action has released amazing new images for the film's official first look!

As published in an Entertainment Weekly exclusive, the film leaks images of Belle (Emma Watson) in her classic yellow gown and her ordinary every outfit. There were also images of Belle and the Beast (Dan Stevens) in a library scene, there are images of Gaston (Luke Evans) in the tavern where he performs his narcissistic number and with Le Fou (Josh Gad). Images of Belle with her father Maurice (Kevin Kline) on his workshop table was shown as well.

Leaked photos also includes a first look of the enchanted non-human characters such as Cogsworth (Ian McKellen), Lumiere (Ewan McGregor), Mrs. Potts (Emma Thompson), Plumette (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and more. Now according to sources there are some aspects of the movie that will be changed, in the original animated Disney film Belle's father was made to be an inventor who was working on a wood chopping contraption. But in the new live action film, Maurice was made to be a "music box" maker while Belle's character is written to be the inventor.

This back story was added for Belle to give dimension to her character aside from merely reading books which Belle loved to do in her spare times. The element of "music boxes" is also said to play a role in her character as well.

However, fans seem to be quite conflicted with Belle's character development. While some are quite happy with the additional trait, others were questioning whether it was necessary to give Belle the role of inventor when her character was already suppose to be "strong minded". Also in question was the prominent detail of the Beast's horns, while most love the character look, others found it too much.

This only shows that not everyone is easily pleased. But one thing is for sure, Disney's live action "Beauty and the Beast" is shaping up very well and fans cannot wait to watch it. The movie will be released on March 17, 2017 directed by Bill Condon.
