The 1.05 update patch for NBA 2K17 has been released by 2K Sports. Made available for all platforms for download last Saturday, November 5th, it addresses serval issues of 2K17 as well as adds several tweaks to the game.

The patch size is quite huge; with the PS4 patch over 7GB, while the Xbox One is around 5GB. According to Attack of the Fanboy, the PS4 patch allows the game to use the console's HDR and PS4 Pro, hence the large file. This lets the game run at a native 4K resolution, which is 60FPS on the Pro.

Forbes gives a list of the updates the patch brings, which was announced through social media. Among them is the update of the Cleveland Cavalier's court, which now resembles their 2016-2017 design, and the Golden State Warriors will have a #42 patch, in memory of Nate Thurmond.

Cosmetic changes that were updated include availability of post-release uniforms when using a custom roster, post-release shoes now appears in saved files, and the option to unequip socks in MyPlayer. It also addresses the controller issue after playing online games.

As for gameplay updates, the NBA 2K17 will now have improved response rate, especially when moving without the ball. It also fixes the rim bounce, pass speeds and pass catching among others, aiming to provide a more realistic experience.

The NBA 2K17 game other modes, like MyPark, MyCareer and MyLeague, also received bug fixes and updates with the patch. MyCareer now allows the player to skip story scenes that were already viewed. Sponsor contracts now reward the player with the correct amount of Virtual Coins or VC.

The update also addresses the bug where NBA 2K17  hangs when moving from one MyPark to another. It also fixes several camera and shooting issues while playing this mode, making sure players are able to use the custom jumpshots equipped.

The Points of Emphasis option is again available in the Gameplan feature, though it only works for simulation results. MyGM, though, will not be having unlimited funds for their expansion teams.

NBA 2K17 is the latest iteration of the NBA 2K franchise that started in 1999. Originally a Sega Dreamcast exclusive, the games are released for different platforms, and are developed by Visual Concepts.
