Apple has for a very long time maintained a reputation as the best computer producer in the world, especially when we come to hardware qualities. However, this title is about to fade away with the looming Microsoft Surface gadgets, which are about to be released. Already, the existing Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book are doing really well in the market. However, these two remained a scrawny threat to the MacBook Pro for the entire 2016, until rumor broke out that their upgrades would completely eliminate the need for any Mac Laptop. Namely, the two upgrades are Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Microsoft Surface book 2.

According to Forbes, Microsoft's choice of hardware quality for the current Surface devices is something that should worry Apple. The existing Surface devices are comparatively equal to the current MacBook Pro in terms of durability and compactness. The earlier Surface RT hardware which was a bit wobbly at its launch in 2012 has been replaced with something that is pretty much undistinguishable from Apple's MacBook Air in the current Microsoft Surface Books.

Even so, Apple is not ignorant of the fact that its serious competitors such as Microsoft are coming up really well and they are therefore working on better flagships such as their rumored MacBook Pro 2016. CNET has revealed the possibility of 4K resolutions in the successive MacBook laptops as well as likelihood that all new Macs will feature next generation Intel Kaby Lake processors. This can be easily concluded from the fact that Apple has been working closely with LG in developing 4K screens, probably to ensure that all consequent Macs have 4K resolutions.

On the other hand the new Surface Gadgets will not only feature 4K screens but also new designs that are more attractive and practical than those of MacBook laptops. All the same we are hopeful that the subsequent MacBook laptops will compete favorably with the Surface gadgets. Though, from the look of things Apple is a few steps behind Microsoft.
