Looks like fans of the "Divergent" series would have to wait for an undetermined amount of time for the next installment of the hit movie series. Theo James and Shailene Woodley, who play main characters for the movie, are rumored to be the cause of the delay. The two's closeness have directly affected the filming of "Divergent: Ascendant" and have also delayed James' wedding with real-life sweetheart Ruth Kearney.

Gamenguide revealed that Ruth Kearney is not amused that his fiancé and Shailene Woodley gets to spend so much time together. She needs Theo by her side to plan for their wedding and there are rumors that she is doing all she can to stop filming the next "Divergent" movie. But despite Ruth's disapproval, filming for the "Ascendant" has started which made them postpone their wedding.

The rift between Theo and Ruth has become so unbearable that the actor has finally had it. Theo James is choosing his fiancé over the movie even completely avoiding the "Fault in Our Stars" actress and making her very furious.

Meanwhile, Yibada reported another hurdle in the filming for "Ascendant." The fourth and last installment for "Divergent" will be made into a TV movie instead. This was announced by Lionsgate and has elicited a lot of negative comments from fans and followers.

Even the cast and crew of "Divergent" were not pleased with the changes. Shailene said that she was not officially informed of the decision and she only learned this from social media. She said that she is not interested in filming a television show and her decision is out of respect of the people involved in the filming of the movie.

Theo James has not made any comment about the major changes that will be done for "Ascendant" but it is presumed that he is also not interested in continuing the project. With the movie postponed indefinitely, he now has more time to plan his wedding.
