Alberta is the capital of Edmonton and Canada's fourth-most populous province. It is near from the geographic center that primarily supply and service hub for Canada's oil sands, crude oil, and other industry resources. Alberta's climate is a humid continental, warm summers and cold winters.

Alberta develops a new strategy of climate change that based on recommendations that put forward by Climate Change Advisory Panel. The environment minister of the province said that the next U.S. president should not affect  Alberta's efforts to fight climate change. Shannon Phillips said that the only plan is to put together with U.S. without any extraordinary or even changing course.

CBCNews reported that the election's result in the United States will not change Alberta's plan that deals with the climate change. Alberta's environment ministry said that the world will become carbon-constrained of one election in one country because change is really real.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump will roll back many climate initiatives that Barack Obama's administration implemented once Trump will be seated. He also threatened about the Paris agreement to pull out, which reached last year's meetings in United Nations. The climate plan of Alberta government  assumes that the United States will keep on doing business as usual on this issue.

She also said that the rest of the world is moving forward and putting the price on carbon that will open new investment opportunities  of Alberta. According to Calgary Herald, Alberta's New Democrats promise to impose a $20 as per ton carbon levy and next year it will increase into $30 per ton in 2018. Phillips said that the governments also have similar moves all over the world.

The UN meeting is the first international meeting that held since in the Paris in which rich and poor countries promise to take action to restrain the rise in global temperatures. The government required presenting national plans just to reduce emissions and limiting the increase of temperature globally that well below 2 C. Though Trump cannot simply pull U.S. out of the agreement he can ignore Obama administration's Paris pledge just to reduce U.S. emissions.
