Michael Parkinson had an infamous interview with Helen Mirren in 1975, where his sexism came to the fore, but up to this very day, Parkinson has not apologized for his showdown with actress Helen Mirren.

The famous broadcaster, known as Parky, has admitted that he still hasn't gotten over the showdown with Mirren, more than forty years later, reported the Daily mail.

The pair's interview had reportedly happened years before she would get an oscar and a damehood. The report said that Michael Parkinson had called Helen Mirren "The Sex Queen" of the Royal Shakespeare Company and that she was good at "Slutty Eroticism", and much to the shock of many, asked whether her "equipment" got her to become a known actress. Mirren held her nerve and shot back whether serious actresses can't have big bosoms.

But now, the Sun reports that the sexist interview has resurfaced, until the present day, the 81-year-old Parky told today's event magazine that he thought it was "good" television, and their on-screen spat has never been resolved. Parkinson denied being sexist in the interview and said that those who had not lived in the time, cannot comment on what he has done wrong. The report said that the only thing Michael Parkinson admitted that he was a bit too over reactive to Helen Mirren because she presented a provocative figure. He also added that he was not sexist, he was just Yorkshire, at the time.

The Daily mail reports his words, 'On the other hand, she presented a provocative figure as she walked down the stairs carrying a feather boa, half dressed as I recall, with love and hate tattooed onto her knuckles. I mean, we didn't like each other.' Michael Parkinson said in the interview. Helen Mirren had famously described the encounter as 'extremely creepy' and 'enraging', at the time.
