Grace VanderWaal could not believe her luck. Five years ago she was just one of the hundreds of kids eagerly lining up to see Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Now that she won "America's Got Talent," she performed together with a roster of popular artists. Wearing cute cat earmuffs with matching gloves, the 12-year old girl from Suffern sang 'I Don't Know My Name' while strumming the tune on her ukulele in front of a huge crowd at Macy's Herald Square.

Lohud reported Grace's appearance at the iconic parade. The teenager was all smiles as she appeared on stage. It was easy to spot that she was excited too as she posted on social media days ago that she can't wait to perform. Her Twitter post ended with a hashtag #MiraclesDoHappen.

Hollywood Life described Grace's performance as a perfect reminder of a "better and more hopeful times" referring to remaining negative feelings left by the national elections. The report also recounted the young singer's epic rise to fame as she stood small but proud at the AGT stage. Described by Simon Cowell as "the next Taylor Swift," Grace won the million dollar grand prize.

But despite her fame and fortune, Grace VanderWaal remains humble and constantly thanks her fans through Twitter. Aside from enjoying the parade and performing, she also played mom to her small pug named "Frankie." She took her pet to the parade and even posted an adorable picture of her and Frankie on Twitter. Frankie was also wearing a sweater to protect him from the brutal cold weather.

Grace VanderWaal's "Perfectly Imperfect" will be released on December 2 via Columbia Records. Preorders are available now via Apple Music. After the Macy's parade, she will be at the Tree Lighting at the Seaport event on November 29 and then at the "America's Got Talent Holiday Spectacular" on December 19 on NBC.
