Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar have been married for more than a decade and the couple is going strong. The "I Know What You Did Last Summer" actor revealed why he and his wife click so much together and it has something to do with food.

While Freddie Prinze Jr. didn't have a shortage of girls to date before he married "Buffy" alumni Michelle Gellar, it was on their first date that he realized that his wife was the one. He recalled how his previous dates didn't eat as well as he because they opted for salads instead. On his date with Gellar, Prinze Jr. was pleasantly surprised when he found out that she wasn't food conscious - something to be a dealbreaker for him if she were.

Gellar apparently ate everything during their dinner including an unfortunate crab that had to do a bit of walking before it was stir-fried in oil, People reports. Prinze Jr. recalled that his wife ate with gusto and without thinking how much calories the food had and realized that Gellar was "legit."

Prinze Jr. and Gellar married in 2002 and have two children, Charlotte and Rocky. The two met during the filming of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and dated until they got married. During Thanksgiving this year, Gellar shared a throwback tribute to the first one that he shared with her husband during the time they were still dating.

Gellar shared a photo of her, Prinze Jr. and a turkey on her Instagram account. The "Buffy" actress captioned the photo saying that while she is grateful for that moment, she is even more grateful for everything she has now with her husband.

Freddie Prinze Jr. who still has his love for food even now recently authored a cookbook "Back to the Kitchen" and a copy of it can be purchased online.
