YG entertainment publicized that 2NE1 is officially disbanding. Although the K-pop female squad doesn't exist anymore, CL and Sandara Park signed a solo deal with YG. Park Bom, on the other hand, didn't renew her contract with the agency.

According to the K-pop site Soompi, YG entertainment stated that, 2NE1's exclusive contract was already expired in May 2016. When Minzy leaved the group, they came up with the verdict to dissolve their band following far-reaching deliberation with the persisting members.

2NE1 was YG's official female singers for seven years. That's why arriving at the disbanding decision was really difficult for them. They cannot express their emotions, but according to them, they settled that it was very hard to continue.

Instead of waiting for an indeterminate amount of time for 2NE1's upcoming promotions, YG decided to concentrate on the members' individual projects.

"We sincerely thank all the fans both in Korea and abroad that have loved the group and their music for all this time. "We would like to officially announce that after last May, we resigned with CL and Sandara Park. However, unfortunately, there is no new contract with Park Bom," the entertainment added.

YG entertainment expressed gratitude to fans who loved and supported the team. Fans were not really shocked by the report. Speculations about the disbanding of the group began swirling since 2014 when Minzy discarded 2NE1's label from her public media account.

On the same day of the 2NE1's dispersal revelation, Park Bom made a video post on her social media account for her fans. "Practicing singing to show you all a singing video..!!!. It might be because it's the first time I'm singing this song... Repeated a lot... Ah...," she told in the post.

The famous K-pop songs such as "Fire," "I Am the Best" and "I Don't Care," were among the smash-hits performed by the 2NE1 band.

Fans can avail some of 2NE1's CDs at Amazon such as, "To Anyone," "2nd," and "Crush."
