10 Best TV Shows to Watch This December: Madonna ''Rebel Heart" & “Hairspray” On the List

The holidays are upon us and of course tis the season for fantastic shows on TV. From Christmas marathon shows to concerts, here are top ten of the best of the best shows that should be included in any yuletide watching list.

1."Hairspray Live!" (December 7 on NBC)

One of the top shows on Rolling Stone's list is the TV version of ''Hairspray." "Hairspray Live!" will take viewers back to Tracy Turnblad's misadventures in Baltimore but this time with a whole new cast. Ariana Grande, Kristen Chenoweth, Jennifer Hudson and Martin Short will be on the TV version.

2. "Taraji's White Hot Holidays" (December 8 on Fox)

This is Taraji's second holiday feature, the first time with ''Empire" co-star Terence Howard. This year she will be with friends Missy Elliot, Snoop Dog, Alicia Keys, Taye Diggs and Pharrell Williams as they make classic Christmas songs sound new again.

3. "Madonna: Rebel Heart Tour" (December 9 on Showtime)

Madonna's "Rebel Heart Tour" show is a compilation of seven months of performances in 55 cities. This is a special documentary of her shows with a focus on her performance at the Olympic Park in Sydney. Expect special guests too such as Idris Elba and Katy Perry.

4.  25 Days of Christmas Marathon (December 1 on Freeform)

NJ.com also listed the best shows to watch out for and on top of the list is a marathon from Freeform starting at 3:30 p.m. Expect heartwarming movies like "Scrooged," "Elf" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

5. "It's a Wonderful Life" (December 3 on NBC)

Christmas won't be the same without a trip back to Bedford Falls in "It's a Wonderful Life" which will also be on USA on December 10.

6. "A Pentatonix Christmas Special" (December 14 on NBC)

Spend a wonderful night listening to the Pentatonix with their own a cappella rendition of the best songs. Special guests are Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire and more.

7. "iHeart Radio Jingle Ball 2016" (December 15 on The CW)

A holiday staple to watch and this year expect Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Fifth Harmony. This yearly celebration of great music is live at the Madison Square Garden with an encore to air on December 26.

8. "America's Got Talent Holiday Spectacular" (December 19 on NBC)

Top contestants on AGT will be there such as Grace VanderWaal and guests like Jackie Evancho and Mat Franco.

9. "A Christmas Story" marathon (December 24 on TBS)

This marathon special will start exactly 12 a.m. on December 24.

10."Happy New Year, Charlie Brown" (December 26 on ABC)

Christmas won't be the same without Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the gang. This New Year special airs 8 p.m. on ABC.
