Acquired by Google back in 2006, three PayPal employees sold it for whopping $1.65B and now has become the third most visited website in the world. YouTube has always fascinated its users with new features every year which put its ratings far more on the top. Earlier, it was just standard videos which were then made available in different resolutions and then came 360-degree videos which were a pilot project which attracted much acclaim.

Tech Crunch reported that YouTube has finally added the support for 4K Live Streaming feature. 4K videos are high-resolution videos that are so crisp that even 1080p resolution would look deformed. 4K videos are now available for Live Streaming on YouTube using the Live Streaming option which is bound to deliver high quality and high-resolution videos in trying to have an edge over other platforms.

The first 4K Video to undergo Live Streaming is the Game Awards 2016. As 360-degree and 4K videos were earlier available, it will be a great sight to have those high-quality videos streamed live across the world. Live Streaming consumes a lot of bandwidths that usually result in distortion, however, YouTube provides 4K video up to 60fps because its competitors such as Facebook Live Publishers offers streaming up to 720p at 30fps and similar for Periscope as well.

4K Video stream consumes a hefty part of bandwidth with the requirements being at 13,000 to 34,000 Kb/s for 4K at 30fps and 20,000 to 51,000 Kb/s for 4K at 60fps. As stated in a report by USGamer, 4K videos on YouTube are optimized for fewer viewers buffering and it doesn't have low latency optimizations. The statistics show that it will be impossible for the average user to stream in 4K for now, however, like all other inventions and innovations, it is just a start towards high-resolution video streaming on YouTube.

The perfect companion to watch 4K Live Streaming on YouTube is Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus.
