'Madam Secretary' Foreign Political Intrigue on Season 3 Episode 12

Political intrigue courtesy of a foreign aid about to go wrong will be the biggest setback in the upcoming Season 3 Episode 12 of "Madam Secretary." Fans will be excited to know that American political drama television series is coming back on January 11,2 2017 in full swing.

According to TV Guide, in "Madam Secretary" Season 3 Episode 12 which is titled "The Detour," Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) and a number of her staff members will come upon the knowledge that China is also fast-tracking their development aid to the continent of Africa as the latter had arrived their first, giving a stiff competition to the U.S. government's plans to offer their help.

Prior to this discovery, the flight to Africa was marred by a dangerous air turbulence which left Elizabeth's press coordinator Daisy Grant (portrayed by Patina Miller) shaken along with Susan Thompson (portrayed by Tonya Pinkins). Despite this setback the whole entourage still manages to enjoy the majestic sights that is being offered by the continent.

However, back in the headquarters, the FBI asks Dr. Henry McCord (portrayed by Tim Daly) to help investigate a Christian cult member who may have helped build the bomb used in the Illinois coffee shop attack. As mentioned Pinkins will be returning as the Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of African Affairs. Other recurring cast is Francis Jue as Chinese Foreign Minister Chen.

Meanwhile, despite the positive viewership, it had been speculated by Latin Post, that the tv series will no longer be renewed for another season. The demo ratings for the CBS series were far from impressive. "Madam Secretary" is created by Barbara Hall and executive produced by Lori McCreary and Morgan Freeman.

"Madam Secretary" Season 3 Episode 8 will air on 27 November on CBS.The episode is written by Matt Ward and directed by Martha Mitchell.
