The hype continues to rise for waiting Microsoft fans wonder the finality of Microsoft's Surface Phone. Even before its release, Microsoft's Surface Phone has already won the approval and thumbs of smartphone-enthusiasts.

The new patent design for Microsoft Surface Phone has allegedly revealed that on the top of the phone is a slot for a stylus. Previously, Surface Pro and Universal Windows 10 app was improved to support Pen input and will reportedly work fine with the Microsoft Surface Phone, according to Tom's Guide.

There is a greater possibility that audio output of Microsoft's Surface Phone could be delivered via USB Type-C ports, similar to Apple iPhone 7 and rumored to be the same with Samsung Galaxy S8. Meanwhile, Microsoft Surface Phone will reportedly continue with its Windows Hello facial recognition feature for it seems that a fingerprint scanner or a camera button is nowhere to be found.

It was also speculated that Microsoft has been testing a number of Surface Phone variants that could support a SnapDragon 835 system-on-chip. The 4GB or 6GB are the two options apparently being tested.

Both Microsoft's Surface Phone prototypes have allegedly feature the Snapdragon 835 processor in which the higher-spec model can reportedly already run X86 apps in Microsoft's Continuum mode. The 4GB versions will not be enabled to do the same capacity.

Not only that, it was reported that the Microsoft's Surface Phone handsets continue to support Microsoft Continuum that will allow the Windows 10 smartphone to be hooked up to an HDMI screen a keyboard, and mouse, and act as a portable computer. The 6 GB variant is said to have the ability to run x86 applications under Continuum for a possible wide range of potential applications although they could only be used under limited circumstances, reports Forbes.

These amazing features and specs may be too good to be true thus Microsoft is taking all the time to create its "ultimate device". Microsoft's Surface Phone will not debut until the second half of 2017 if there are no further delays. Thus, there is possibly another whole year of absence for Microsoft's Surface Phone.
