A Disney series, Girl Meets World has been cancelled after three successful series. Girl Meets World is spinoff of the ultra-popular TV series Boy meets world. The writer's room of Girl Meets World announced the cancellation of the series on their twitter account Wednesday night saying that "I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty. Please watch our January episodes "

Soon after the tweet, Disney issued a confirmation statement. Disney revealed that a final show of the series will be released on Friday, 20th January 7, 2017. While informing about the concluding final episode, the Mathews family stated that "We are proud that for over 70 episodes, Michael Jacobs, April Kelly and the talented creative team, cast and crew entertained viewers with an authentic and heartfelt look at navigating adolescence." Reports businessinsider.

It will be memorable to farewell a famous TV show after three successful seasons. Rowan Blanchard started starring the show when she was just 12, expressed her feelings emotionally. She stated that while typing the concluding words, she is crying to say farewell to a series that is now a part of her life. She was quoted by dailymail as saying " I am crying typing this because, yes! We were making a show but our lives turned into a movie".

Rowan was quoted further as saying "I am so honored to call you our audience...thank you to the kids for watching us.Please continue to watch the show. To talk about it".

Rowan played as Riley in the show which was extremely liked among the audience. The same day, the cancellation of the show was announced, Girl Meets World was awarded with a prestigious "The producers Guild of America" award for being among the most spectacular children program ever. The series that started on 27th Jun 2014, when Rowan was only 12 will conclude on Friday, January 20th 2017.
