Ed Sheeran is back, and he's back with a bang! But it is more fitting to say that he's back with a double bang as he made his way to Billboard's Top 100 and Twitter Top Tracks with his new songs "Castle On The Hill" and "Shape of You" last January 6. This is a good start of the year for Ed Sheeran and his fans.

As reported by Billboard, "Shape of You" hit the highest spot in just one try as it made its debut in the chart. It is followed by "Castle on the Hill" which hit the second highest spot beating ninety-eight songs on its way on first try. If you already feel overpowered by these achievements, let's add another one; Ed Sheeran is the first artist to launch two songs in the top spots simultaneously.

Wait, there's more. These two songs have led to Ed Sheeran's entry in on Billboard's Social 50 at Number 5. The Billboard Social 50 is a popularity chart which ranks the most active musical artists on the world's leading social networking services. After a year of social media hiatus, fans surely missed him so much.

He also gathered a lot of new followers in all his social media accounts thanks to his new songs. According to the stats from twitter, the songs gathered 634,000 Twitter reactions in the tracking week. His twitter followers also went up by 600 percent, earning him 16.8 Million followers.

Meanwhile, as Sheeran has hit double top spots, Ariana Grande ranks at number 3 and four with her songs "Everyday" and "Touch It" simultaneously. "Touch It" is the 8th song from Grande's "Dangerous Woman" album. The said album contains 11 songs.

If you can't get enough of his new music, start saving now as his new album, ÷ (which is pronounced as "Divide") will be out in stores on March 3 this year. We will absolutely support Ed Sheeran until he finished making album titles out of all mathematical symbols. Maybe he can go for the Alphabet after.
