Nintendo has a lot of ups and downs in the past year, with two Pokemon games hitting the gaming market recently (Pokemon GO! and Pokemon Sun and Moon), new Mario and Zelda games, and of course, the Nintendo Switch announcement. But what got the attention of the people to Nintendo is its successful (and nowhere to be found) Nintendo Classic Mini.

Nintendo fans and nostalgic gamers will surely like to get a copy of this device. But what's notable about the NES Classic Mini is its scarcity. It is like a gold bar with "Nintendo" imprinted on it. Third party sales price are escalating quickly and still, there's no stocks anywhere.

Some believe that Nintendo is intentionally holding up its NES stocks to drive the perception of the demand. But according to TechSpot, that is not the case. NES Classic Mini was announced on mid-July last year and is seemed to receive a warm enough reception, not a blockbuster product but not also that bad. It seems like Nintendo underestimated the demand forecast and kind of disregarded the older players who are possibly nostalgic to their projected customers. It seems like Nintendo has learned its lesson and is planning to use these for a new retro console.

According to reports, Nintendo recently filed a trademark for the allegedly SNES Classic. SNES is the successor of NES and is called Super Famicon is Japan. It is said that Nintendo will release more stocks of the SNES Classic Edition to avoid another stock disaster.

The SNES Edition would be another miniature version of Super Nintendo, like the NES Classic Edition.  Improvements will also be made on the SNES Edition and one improvement speculated is the SNES online store where you can add SNES games by buying it on Nintendo online shop and add games to the already installed games. The speculated price of the SNES right now will be similar to the NES while the games are estimated to be $0.99 per game or $5 for a bundle of three games.   Another improvement would be the longer cable for the controller and power button.
