Liam Payne 2017 News: Conor Maynard Reveals Major Updates On One Direction Singer’s Solo Album

Liam Payne's album is in the final stages and the solo music might be released in this year. However, Conor Maynard has been discussing on how soon he thinks the music could be released.

Conor recently revealed during an interview with Daily Star that he has written a song for Payne's upcoming album. Although, the song is yet to have a release date or a title, it will not be long before it is released. The album will be Payne's first solo album outside of One Direction.

Payne, the former One Direction star has been spending most of his time in Los Angeles getting his head down in the studio working on his debut solo record. British pop star, Maynard has also been working on some tracks, which could feature on the highly anticipated LP.  He thinks it will not be long before fans hear the hunky star's music, which he says is R&B-sounding, according to Sunday World.

According to reports, Maynard said "We have had sessions where we wrote stuff that can go to Liam Payne, for his album, because every now and then we do a session that won't be for me." It will be for someone else and Liam is someone we have wanted to write for.

He added that he has not contacted Payne for a while and so he does not know how close he is to completing the album but he does not think it will take long.

Maynard, 24, concluded that new tunes of the One Direction star could be major competition for him and so he joked that he may just turn his attention to a different genre. He said he might just be a country artist now, there is a opening for that in the UK.

Last month - Liam's - Calum Scott, Payne's label pal acknowledged that the star has amazing songs on the record. Payne teased fans with snaps of himself in the studio and a short clip of a song. Payne, 23, is expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
