"Arrow" Season 5 returns on The CW this Jan. 25, 2017. Fans are excited to see Laurel Lance return to the show. Also, the cast will be joined by the recurring character of Talia al Ghul, whom comicbook fans know as one of Batman's former lovers.

Black Canary returns in "Arrow" Season 5 Episode 10

In the last episode, Oliver Queen a.k.a. Arrow (Stephen Amell), mistakenly kills Billy Malone (Tyler Ritter), thinking he was Prometheus. At the end of Episode 9, he sees Laurel Lance a.k.a. the Black Canary (Katie Cassidy). The problem is that she was killed in past few episodes.

According to Inverse, this isn't the Black Canary Oliver knows and loves. This one still has her Canary Cry and might actually be from Earth-3, considering the Earth-2 version already appeared in "The Flash" Season 2. Meanwhile, in "Arrow" Season 5, the team welcomes her back. The new trailer, though, proves that she has ulterior motives.

Lexa Doig joins "Arrow" Season 5 cast as Talia al Ghul

Aside from the complications of a mysterious new Laurel and John Diggle (David Ramsey) still in prison, "Arrow" Season 5 will introduce Talia al Ghul. Lexa Doig from sci-fi hit shows like "Andromeda" and "Stargate SG-1" will star as the elite assassin.

Den of Geek reports that Talia will appear in Episode 11, "Second Chances". Oliver is trying to take down an enemy and Talia offers her help in exchange for something. Oliver isn't sure if he can comply with her conditions. Talia will appear throughout the rest of "Arrow" Season 5 as a guest character.

The show has already featured a lot of Batman's enemies including Ra's al Ghul himself and his League of Assassins. It won't be stretch for the show to include some of Batman's allies as well. Watch the "Arrow" Season 5 Episode 10 trailer below.
