2017 Grammy Awards: Metallica, Weeknd To Perform At The 59th Edition

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on February 12. The nominations for the awards show, which will be hosted by the 'Late Late Show' host James Corden, were announced on December 6. One of the biggest music shows of the year will recognize the best of music releases of 2016 starting from October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016.

Apart from the nominations, the first list of performers for 2017 Grammy Awards has also been announced. There's good news in store for the fans of Metallica. The American heavy metal band has confirmed that they will be one of the artists performing at next month's Grammy Awards, reports Alternative Press. This will be the fourth Grammy performance for Metallica.

The band further announced that they have something "very unique and special" planned for the show. Also, Metallia is nominated for Best Rock Song for 'Hardwired' from their recent album Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, as per the Grammy official website.

Also, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will be performing at Grammys 2017. Urban is nominated for Best Country Album for Ripcord, Best Country Song for Blue Ain't Your Color and Best Country Solo Performance for Blue Ain't Your Color and Underwood is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for Church Bells. Others like Weeknd, John Legend, Beyonce and Adele are also expected to perform at the Grammys.

Leading the list with four nominations is Maren Morris who is nominated for Best New Artist, Best Country Solo Performance for My Church, Best Country Song for My Church and Best Country Album for Hero. Morris is followed by Keith Urban with three nominations for Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

The CBS network will broadcast the 2017 Grammy Awards live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 12 staring at 8 PM ET and the Premiere Ceremony will begin at 3:30 PM ET.
