xXx Return Of Xander Cage Release Date, Review, Stats after India Release

xXx: Return of Xander Cage is the third installment in the xXx series. The action film got released in India on January 14, a week ahead of its U.S. release. For the first time ever, an actor of Indian origin has appeared in the xXx series film. The multi starrer film features Vin Diesel, Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Kris Wu, Samuel L. Jackson, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa and Toni Collette.

According to the figures released by Paramount, the film has collected $4.2 million in paid previews in just two and a half days after its opening. As common Hollywood movies in India, this title has also been dubbed in Indian regional languages including Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. According to Hollywood Reporter, xXx: Return of Xander Cage has recorded one of the highest opening weekend for any Hollywood film to be released in India.

Vin Diesel visited India last week for the grand premiere of the film with co-star Deepika Padukone. The duo was welcomed in a desi-style with dhol, tutari and tilak. Explaining his joy on visiting India, Disel took to Instagram to post: "As a child, I always dreamed of visiting India... Thank you Paramount for making this dream come true," reports Mail Oneline.

The film is based on a story in which Xander Cage, who was considered dead for years, is pulled out of self-imposed exile when the xXx program comes under the threat of the Pandora's Box. Cage then takes help of a group of thrill-seekers to help him find the box. The role of Xander Cage is being played by Vin Diesel.

xXx: Return of Xander Cage is the Hollywood debut project of Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone. Indian actors such as Irrfan Khan and late Om Puri have been regularly seen in Hollywood movies, but this time a mainstream actress from Bollywood has made her presence felt. The film will release in 53 international markets including U.K., Spain, Australia, France, Germany and Russia.
