Google Android Wear 2.0 To Debut On LG Watch Sport And LG Watch Style

Google's Android Wear 2.0 is finally going to debut with LG smartwatches. The Android Wear 2.0 support both Google Play and Google Assistant. Smart watches will be named as LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style and they are expected to be launched on February 9.

The LG Watch Sport has a 1.38-inch OLED displays with 480x480 pixel resolution, 768MB RAM, 4GB storage and a 430mAh battery. On the other hand, the LG Watch Style has a smaller OLED screen of 1.2 inches. The resolution for the display is 360x360 pixels. The watch has 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and 240mAh battery.

Both the smartwatches feature Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity but the Sport model includes 3G as well as LTE, which makes the watch capable of utilizing Android Wear 2.0's Android Pay feature. Additionally, the Sport model also has Wi-Fi and NFC onboard. The smartwatches have Google Assistant integrated and the Sport model also has a heart rate sensor and an IP68 Certification. Meanwhile, the LG Watch Style is IP67 Certified and doesn't feature the heart rate sensor, as reported by PhoneArena.

According to VentureBeat which reports a leak from Evleaks, LG will be releasing its LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style in the next couple of weeks. Both smartwatches will feature Google Assistant integration. A separate PlayStore app for Android Wear 2.0 will allow users to install new apps and manage them, reports BGR. Android Wear 2.0 will also include a new keyboard and a new app launcher.

LG Watch Sport will come in titanium and dark blue colors and LG Watch Style will be available in titanium, silver and rose gold colors. Also, the LG watch style has swappable straps. The smartwatches will be compatible with iOS also and share a common feature with the Apple Watch known as the Digital Crown. The displays are touch sensitive and feature hand-writing recognition.
