"Terminator 6" may soon hit the screen. At least the recent developments between the creator of the franchise James Cameroon and the director of "Deadpool" Tim Miller indicate so. The "Titanic" director will regain the rights to his prized creation, two years from now in 2019.

But rumors indicate that he is already in talks with Miller to direct "Terminator 6," which will be a reboot as well as a concluding film from the franchise. According to a report, this last movie will end the battle between the Skynet and humans finally.

Deadline says that the copyright reversion of the franchise will happen almost 35 years later ever since the release of the "Terminator" classic in 1984. And hence Cameron wants to use this opportunity to come up with a reboot of the franchise, "Terminator 6" that will conclude one of the greatest science fiction tales of Hollywood.

Ever since Cameron left the franchise, the follow-up "Terminator" movies have been a disaster with the latest release "Terminator Genisys" failing to impress the audiences in any way. The last movie from the franchise directed by Cameron, "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger went on to create box-office record.

But immediately after that, the "Avatar" creator washed his hands off the franchise. But now he is all set to regain the rights to the franchise. He now seems to be keen to end the science-fiction legacy of the franchise in stylish and better way by creating "Terminator 6," a reboot of the earlier movies.

According to Slash Film, Cameron wants the director of Ryan Reynolds "Deadpool" to direct the sixth installment of the franchise. With the director already involved in the creation of "Avatar 2," it seems natural for him to seek another director to direct his dream project.

Biased views apart, one look at the most popular movies like "Titanic," "Aliens," "Avatar," or "True Lies" and you will notice how different a movie can look like when someone like Cameron touches it. So, fans would rather have him directing "Terminator 6" than anyone else to enjoy the same magical Cameron touch in a "Terminator" movie.
