Gus Fring might be one of "Breaking Bad" characters that fans hate to love. His calm, yet terrifying character has made him as a notorious drug lord as well as the villain in the series. Now, fans are given a chance to reunite with the king of Los Pollos Hermanos in the Season 3 of AMC's "Better Call Saul". However, Gus Fring that fans love will be featured slightly different in the upcoming season of "Breaking Bad" spin-off series.

On an interview with AMC, Giancarlo Esposito, the main behind the badass Gus Fring, said that he's extremely excited to be back portraying Gus Fring, although he had to do an extra work in playing the "immature" version of Gus Fring. "I do remind myself that I'm not trying to just mimic what I've done before, I want to make it completely fresh and new, and this is the way to discover a whole new entry of playing Gus," added the actor.

BCS' Gus Fring that fans are going to discover soon is said to be a little fresher and a little less jaded considering the fact that he's still finding his way to the world of the drug kingpin. However, that doesn't make Gus Fring less terrifying. In "Better Call Saul", fans are going to witness how Gus Fring develops into the dangerous man in "Breaking Bad". So, that's another thing that fans should look forward to.

Esposito also expressed his hope that there will be an opportunity to explore more about Gus Fring's life in another spin-off. Upon the end of "Breaking Bad", creators were considering to make either a show about Saul or Gus. However, the creators, Vince Gilligan and peter Gould, feel like they know more things about Saul than Gus, and they expected another series to be more comedic.

The 58-year-old actor also warned fans that there would be a lot of exciting plots that Gus is going to involve, such as how he develops his relationship with Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), and how he starts his hatred towards Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis). "Better Call Saul" Season 3 will premiere on Monday, April 10 at 10 PM ET.
