WhatsApp is still one of the most widely used mobile messaging application, and to maintain this position, the developers need to provide update/upgrade with exciting features to meet the constant changes and at the same time beat competition.

In line with this, the developer has released the latest BETA version of the application. WhatsApp version 2.17.24, which has already rolled out for devices that run on Android OS. Although the new BETA version of the application did not introduce any new feature or options, it fixed some of the bugs and issues that have caused little inconvenience to users in the previous version, Neurogadget reported.

Unfortunately, it is also important for users to note that despite the previous rumors that the application would receive a new feature that will give users the ability to make video conference call, the developers is yet to confirm this feature.

Moreover, if the rumors turn out to be true this new feature will allow users to make video calls to more than one user at a time, meaning, users will now be able to call mutual friends and family members for a group discussion or the like.

WhatsApp Messenger is available for android and ios devices. Techspot reported that the messenger features no hidden costs, multimedia (video, images, and voice notes), group chat, personal setting,     no international charges, pins and usernames, no need to log in/out, no need to add buddies, and offline Message support.

The WhatsApp BETA 2.17.24 is still in its BETA phase, which means that users who want to download the new version must do so manually, by first downloading the APK file from the internet and then installing it on the preferred android device. Interested users can also become a WhatsApp BETA Tester, where they will be able to install the new version of the application directly from the official Android store.

Users will have to open Google Play Store webpage on their browser and then tap on the "Become a Tester" button so as to get a chance to become a WhatsApp BETA Tester. Thereafter, interested users will just need to open the official Android store, search for WhatsApp BETA 2.17.24 and then install it on their android devices.
