Nintendo's NES Classic Edition restock date for major suppliers and third-party sellers has not been been officially announced yet. However, the company has cleared that they were not unaware about huge demand for their console.

Nintendo NES Classic Edition went out of stock soon after its release in last 2016. The console has been a huge hit by itself, however, the company has been harshly criticized for not keeping up with the stock of the new console, while letting people pre-order it.

There is a huge majority of people who have not yet received their version of NES Classic Edition, despite pre-ordering it months earlier. Since both the first and the second Nintendo shipments went out of stock, they have been left waiting and have practically have no clue when their gaming console would finally arrive.

Meanwhile, a report published by Daily Star suggests that the NES Classic Edition shortage has terribly affected the company's financials. Nintendo did not produce enough number of gaming console than it should have and as result, the company was not able to gain much profit and higher revenues after its launch.

But there is a reason why the company did not produce the console in high numbers. According to Reggie Fils-Aime of Nintendo US, the company has not anticipated the huge demand for the console at the first place. The COO said this in an interview with Wired.

Nintendo had a vision to target players aged between 30 and 40, who had played NES Classic titles when they were younger and still had a fetish to play video games. However, the demand for the retro-console turned out to be huge, and young, active gamers turned out to be the ones with huge demand for NES Classic Edition.

But the good news is that the company has finally decided to increase the supply of the console in time to come, despite "unexpected" demand from loyal Nintendo console fans.
