So many viewers feel the third chapter of "The Star Trek" franchise, the "Star Trek Beyond," is amazing even if it had a disappointing box office turn out.

Zoe Saldana (Lieutenant Uhura), who played the role of the translator and communications in the popular sci-fi franchise, wants to see it continue, despite the fact that the third installment did not result in a solid box office turn out. She revealed in a recent interview with IGN that she is up for reprising the role of her character well into her later years.

"I hope there is. I really hope there is. It would be crazy to limit the longevity of a show that has had a 50-year life and on, to stop because they had a bad box office turnout. "She added that she would love to come back, especially when viewers are talking positively about how amazing the chapter is.

The third installment of the movie, "Star Trek Beyond" received so many positive buzz and was also certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, Comicbook reported. But for some reason, it did not translate to box office dollars, as the estimated $185 only brought in around $158 million domestically.

Although, it was still considered to be profitable, as it successfully pulled in over $343 million worldwide, but was steps away from "Star Trek: Into Darkness," which generated a total of over $467 million worldwide.

However, it is not just Saldana who seems excited about the franchise possible return as Chris Hemsworth, whose voice was used in the second installment of the series for the role of Captain James T. Kirk's father - George Kirk, said Star Trek producer, J.J. Abrams had an amazing pitch for the next installment.

The official synopsis for Star Trek Beyond reveals that after stopping off at Starbase Yorktown, halfway into their five-year mission, the USS Enterprise is destroyed by a powerful, unstoppable wave of aliens.

The crew became stranded on an unknown planet and with no apparent means or hope of rescue, they were left with no choice but to fight against a ruthless enemy with a well-earned hatred of the Federation and everything it stands for. The crew in this situation could only be rescued by a rebellious alien warrior that will help them procure their exit from the planet to stop the deadly menace from a possible galactic war.

Rumors are already swirling that the 38-year-old Saldana got her wish and the fourth installment of "Star Trek" is already underway.
