The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is reportedly in the works and reports are saying that the upcoming 2 in 1 will pack some serious. 2017 is expected to be a big year for Microsoft as it is expected to release a number of devices such as Microsoft Surface Phone 2017, Surface Book 2. The Windows 10 Creators Update will also be released which will enable devices to be used like PC via the Continuum mode. The upcoming successor in the Surface Pro line up could be the one of the company's most-advanced devices.

Although Microsoft skipped over an update last October a new Surface Pro machine would keep the hardware at the top, it's not necessarily about the high volume of sales it's about showcasing Windows with the best possible hardware. In the eighteen months or so since the Pro 4 was 'locked in' on the manufacturing line there are a number of updates that Forbes believe Redmond will want to use.

According to Express, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be having the significant device upgrades from its precursor. It will have UltraHD resolution that will allow users to play games and watch videos in high details.

Creative professionals will find the device to be most-useful as certain features will be developed for them. A lightweight aluminium body and same 12.3-inch screen will make the forthcoming highly portable.

Timing wise, Microsoft has just released the beta of the next major update to Windows 10.  The update gives the idea of third-party application integration, VR and mixed reality, and improved 3D tools. An additional major update to Windows 10 is expected later in the year that will focus on mobile compatibility.

Forbes has also mentioned that the expectation to the Surface Pro 5 is that it will use Intel's seventh-generation Core processors, the Kaby Lake chips, which are becoming available in greater quantities, and offers a number of processing advantages in graphics and speed, but crucially they offer better battery life for mobile machines.

A bigger and better battery is a must for Surface Pro 5 and the connectivity with mobile devices is also expected. Tethering and hot-spot connectivity with mobile devices is expected to be available. Reports are also claiming that it Surface Pen stylus with wireless charging will be available with the said device.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 could boast a 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. Microsoft will first reportedly release the Windows 10 Creators Update and then the Surface device.
