Game producer Eiji Aonuma shared a game secret: "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will have an alternate ending.

A "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" secret have been revealed ahead of its release on March 3 for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch thanks to game producer Eiji Aonuma, reports Express. Eiji confirms that the game will have an alternate ending. This means that players will have an excuse to play the game for the second time around.

"Yes there is an alternate ending, there is a certain criteria you have to fulfill to see it," told Aonuma to IGN Portugal via Nintendo Life. "Essentially, you do some specific things and you'll see a different ending," Eiji added.

This is not the first Zelda game to have an alternative ending. "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" had a different credits sequence that is based on the player's collection of mask. Similarly, "The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Track" would also have a different closing sequence - indirect dissimilarities that is based on how the players answered Zelda questions until the end of the game. "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" also have a different ending, providing the player doesn't die throughout the game.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is one of the most prominent title on the Switch console, not mentioning it's one of the most awaited games of 2017, too. Since Argos has cut the game's price to £50, Amazon too has followed and reduced the selling price from £60 to £50 (around $60). The Wii U version of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" currently sells for £40 (around $50).

Along with "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", other Nintendo Switch launch titles such as "1-2-Switch", "Super Bomberman R", "Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth +", "Skylanders Imaginators", "Just Dance 2017", and "I Am Setsuna" are also pegged for a March 3 release.
