'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13 Spoilers: Weber Gives Newbie Eliza Rough Welcome To Grey Sloan

It may be a while yet before Grey's Anatomy finally reveals what will become of Alex's case as the midseason premiere of Season 13 failed to address the cliffhanger before the break. Episode 11 entitled "Jukebox Hero" does not seem to answer the question anytime soon.

From the onset, Dr. Richard Weber has never been a fan of newbie Dr. Eliza Minnick but in the show's upcoming episode, he will enlist the support of the other attendings to give her a rough welcome into Grey-Sloan Memorial, SpoilerTV reported.

It can be recalled that in the midseason finale, Richard's role in the hospital was threatened by the newcomer as Bailey continued to give her more and more of the former chief's responsibilities. The attendings were more sympathetic towards Richard's plight but Bailey seemed more in favor of Eliza causing some tension to arise in the hospital.

Meredith on the other hand, will have to deal with tracking down Alex on her own. It can be recalled that at the end of the midseason finale, Alex was mulling accepting a plea deal that would send him to prison to protect Jo from the threat of being found by her abusive husband. In an epic voicemail, Meredith appeals to Alex not to take the deal and that he could not live without him in her life, Variety reported.

Being as he and Meredith are the only two remaining original cast members from their batch of interns at the former Seattle Grace Hospital, it made sense that Meredith and Alex's deep history has led to a kinship that only they understood so it remains to be seen whether Alex will honor the wishes of his dearest friend or sacrifice himself for the woman that he loves.

The question of whether Alex got the voice mail in time or what happened at the DA's office is also expected to be answered in the next episode."Jukebox Hero" airs on ABC on Thursday, February 2.
