The "Mr. Mercedes" TV series based on Stephen King's novel of the same name has just announced its list of cast members. The AT & T Audience Network show will run for 10 episodes and it's slated to start this fall.

"Mr. Mercedes" TV series has its complete cast list

The production is currently underway in Charleston, South Carolina, ComingSoon reports. Director Jack Bender from "Lost", "Under the Dome", and "Game of Thrones" will take charge of the "Mr. Mercedes" TV series. David E. Kelley, who has lent his writing talents to "Boston Legal", "Ally McBeal", and "The Practice", will pen the script.

The "Mr. Mercedes" TV series cast has Brendan Gleeson and Harry Treadaway in lead roles. Gleeson (Mad-Eye Moody from "Harry Potter") stars as the show's Detective Bill Hodges, while Treadaway (Victor Frankenstein from "Penny Dreadful") is the cunning Brady Hartsfield. The story revolves around Hartsfield, a killer, who taunts Hodges with letters and clues about his next crimes.

Hodges undertakes a dark journey to bring Hartsfield to justice, as per a Deadline article. Anton Yelchin was originally cast as Hartsfield before his untimely death. Other "Mr. Mercedes" TV series characters that have been cast are Jerome Robinson (Jharrel Jerome), Detective Peter Dixon (Scott Lawrence), Janey Patterson (Mary-Louise Parker), Anthony "Robi" Frobisher (Robert Stanton), Olivia Trelawney (Ann Cusack), Ida Silver (Holland Taylor).

Showrunners are excited about the "Mr. Mercedes" TV series

Previously, the "Mr. Mercedes" TV series cast that had been first announced were Kelly Lynch as Deborah Hartsfield, Breeda Wool as Lou Linklatter, and Justine Lupe as Holly Gibney. The producers and writers expressed excitement at the new show, pointing out the great source material and brilliant actors they've signed up for the TV series.

Christopher Long, head of the AT & T Audience Network, said, "This is exactly the kind of trifecta Audience constantly seeks in original television productions." The "Mr. Mercedes" novel was published in 2014 and has been described as a surprisingly and extremely brilliant hard-boiled detective story from Master of Horror, Stephen King. It became a No. 1 best seller and heralded two sequels published in 2015 and 2016.
