"Star Wars Episode 8 The Last Jedi" is going to be the most important installment in the third "Star Wars" trilogy. While several plot rumors about the movie are already doing rounds on the internet, the latest one about who will the last Jedi in the movie will seem the most promising one.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" will not release until December 2017. Its name was officially announced recently, but the first trailer of the movie is yet to be released. The official announcement of the name set all fans forums on fire, with fans anticipating who the last Jedi could actually be.

According to the Daily Mail, one such spectacular fan theory claims that Supreme Leader Snoke could be the last Jedi in the film. The publication based its article on a theory posted by a Reddit user named AnakinKardashian.

The Redditor believes that there could be a strategic reason why "Star Wars: Rouge One" introduced the ancient Jedha planet, which is very old. The fan has theorized that the film makers could have done that intentionally to feed into the viewers that Jedis are very ancient, indeed.

Even in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," old Luke Skywalker was shown searching for an ancient Jedi temple. There could be a real reason why the film makers have shifted all their attention to the Jedi history in the last two "Star Wars" movies released and may continue to focus on it in the upcoming "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

The Redditor believes that Snoke could actually be the last Jedi in the movie, as he is really very old. In addition, Kylo Ren was shown possessing an ancient lightsaber in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," and he may have recovered that lightsaber from Snoke.

Meanwhile, another theory posted by a YouTube user Mike Zeroh suggests that Luke Skywalker could end up turning to the Dark Side of the Force by the end of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." This is rumored to happen after the death of General Leia Organa, his loving sister.

Luke Skywalker may get surrounded by anger, frustration, and revenge upon his sister's death. For the same reason, "Star Wars Episode 9" might also focus on Luke Skywalker turning to the Dark Side.

Here is that video that talks about Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars Episode 9:"
