"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." characters, Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), over the course of their time on the show, have been described as one of the most beloved aspects of the show. This is the reason why fans were shocked that both characters were written out of the show in the third chapter, after being disbarred from S.H.I.E.L.D. in exchange for their freedom.

However, the hope of fans was made high when both characters were scheduled to lead Marvel's "Most Wanted," before it was ultimately passed over by ABC. But the characters still exist in the world of S.H.I.E.L.D., which has made fans eager to see them return even though their wishes nowhere close to becoming a reality, Screenrant reports.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." showrunners, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen were asked about the possibility that fans would see the return of Bobbi and Hunter during an interview with EW. Even it is clear that their return is not impossible, it is quite unlikely as Tancharoen replied by saying, "One can only dream. That is always on our minds,"

Tancharoen's response prompted Whedon to respond saying "Once an agent, always an agent, so it is always out there in the ether. But right now we are taking a breather." For Bobbi and Hunter to never make another appearance would not be a very good news for most of the viewers. Fans will be delighted even if they will only as a guest star for a small episode arc or as a cameo.

The show will have to find a meaningful way to include the characters in its storyline. However, this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe where anything can be done, so as long as fans have shown interest to see it happen.

Moviepilot reports that the two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are the best in the game as they have developed over the last two seasons to the point where Marvel felt they were strong enough for a stand-alone. Their relationships with other characters are entertaining with both actors appearing unique in any scene they are in. Fans truly believe that it is possible to bring back the characters as the show is bringing back Patton Oswalt's Koenig in its next episode - a character that has not appeared since the second chapter.

They believe that there is definitely a way that the show's writers could contrive a story that ties in the characters' life in hiding, since the last time they were seen. Although, this is highly unlikely to happen in the current season with regards to the comments from the showrunners, but there will be a chance for the wishes of fans to become a reality in the next chapter.
