'The Originals' Season 4 Episode 8 To Feature Alaric And More 'The Vampire Diaries' Stars

"The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries" are finally having a crossover. According to reports, "TVD" star Matt Davis is going to New Orleans in "The Originals" Season 4 episode 8 where he will meet Elijah (Daniel Gillies) with an important artifact.

The two popular shows have a connection since then. "The Originals" is a spinoff of "The Vampire Diaries." That's why from time to time; we see some characters appearing in both shows.

According to Yibada, in the first season, Michael Trevino's Tyler appears in the spinoff series to take revenge against Klaus (Joseph Morgan). In season 3, Zach Roerig's Matt and Paul Wesley's Stefan also visited New Orleans to have a conversation with Klaus where the former asked the latter's approval so he can go in peace with Caroline.

Stefan and Caroline are already engaged in "The Vampire Diaries." However, it is Matt Davis' Alaric turn now to join Klaus and the rest of the gang. Fans will see the actor in "The Originals" Season 4 Episode 8.

Per TV Line, Alaric's twin daughters are caught in the siren's crosshair and he will visit Elijah to deliver a very important artifact. The said material is priceless and is there for a purpose.

Unfortunately, very little is known about "The Originals" Season 4 when it comes to its plot and storyline. One thing is sure, though, it has not been renewed for another season and that its showrunner Michael Narducci is leaving Warner Bros. Television for a better opportunity somewhere else. Thus, if the show will be renewed for Season 5, Julie Plec will be taking it as by then "TVD" is over.

"Mike got an opportunity he couldn't pass up," Plec told the Hollywood Reporter. "He has been a brilliant partner and friend and I'm going to miss him desperately."

The CW president Mark Pedowitz said that they will decide the fate of "The Originals" in May after the show premieres to see how the audience will accept it. Nevertheless, Pedowitz is hoping to see more of the series. At the time, its renewal or cancellation depends on its performance.
