"Horizon: Zero Dawn" is bound to appeal to dino-robot fans. The new Guerilla Games' creation is an open-world action game greatly driven by an engaging story. Characters on this game fight and ride giant robot dinosaurs in a world dominated by large predators where humans are prey.

The player character is a human woman named Aloy who uses her bow and arrows to fight off robot beasts and survive in the new world. The art director of "Horizon: Zero Dawn", Jan-Bart van Bleek, had an idea for a game about tribal societies, robot dinosaurs, and a post-apocalyptic world.

The lead writer, John Gonzales told Digital Trends that the exciting ideas were the main reason he joined the crew. Part of the game's draw is the quests. Aside from the major quests, there are the minor ones that can be done and discovered on the side. Players who are into story-driven games like "Mass Effect" will love the "Horizon: Zero Dawn" game, which takes its time setting up the new world.

According to a "Horizon: Zero Dawn" preview by Polygon, fans of "The Elder Scrolls", "Far Cry", and "The Witcher" will fall in love with the vibrant world of the new game, which is set against an extensive story backdrop. It's not just Aloy trying to survive in the new world, but it's also about her proving her bravery to her surrogate father, and the human race trying to regain its footing in a dangerous world.

Gamers playing Aloy can help her tame a robot beast with the Override Tool. Already equipped with her bow and spear, she can also buy new ones like Tie Rope and Ropecaster, which will allow the user to immobilize the robots and tie them to the ground.

Aloy's progress will make the players feel accomplished in every level since the character always has something to gain or improve after every task or mission. The "Horizon: Zero Dawn" game is difficult but immensely rewarding. It will be made available on PlayStation 4 on Feb. 28.
