Techtimes, quoted an unknown Google employee as saying that without fingerprint gestures and Android 7.1.2, both Nexus 5X and 6P have nothing groundbreaking innovation. He also explained that both Nexus 5X and 6P have similar hardware and software features.

It also worth mentioning here that Android 7.1.2 has not been rolled out for general public yet which means that updates are only available for Nexus and Pixel devices. Fingerprint scanner at the back side of the smartphones facilitates the users to comfortably use biometric scanner.
