News about a Valentine's Day update have been going on for the past days. However, it appears that this big event that's expected to drop a new set of Gen 2 Pokemon may be affected. Milwaukee County has recently laid out restrictions for "Pokemon Go."

According to the Daily Express, Milwaukee County has recently ordered that augmented-reality game developers get a permit before their games can be played in the county's parks. This includes Niantic's hit title "Pokemon Go." This is bad news for fans who have been expecting the "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 Pokemon update for some time now.

The outlet notes that if the same thing happens with other counties, the popularity of "Pokemon Go" will surely be affected. The ordinance from Milwaukee County says games such as "Pokemon Go" are restricted in parks within the area. Only those with permits from the DPRC (Director of the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Culture) will be allowed.

Late last month, an anonymous source told Slash Gear that Niantic is setting up a Valentine's Day event for "Pokemon Go" players. The insider added that the upcoming event will be focused on friendship and love. Fans should note that some of the highly anticipated Gen 2 Pokemon are made with the "Friendship" feature in "Pokemon Gold" and "Pokemon Silver."

The said Friendship Gen 2 Pokemon are Umbreon and Espeon. It has yet to be revealed if the same feature will be applied in "Pokemon Go." However, since the insider has hinted on an upcoming event centered on friendships and love, it can be safe to assume that "Friendship" may soon be integrated into the mobile game.

The official announcement on the release of the highly anticipated "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 Pokemon update has yet to come. Some analysts believe that the rolling out of the said expansion will come in a dripping effect. This means Gen 2 Pokemon will not arrive at once. Instead, they may be rolled out to the "Pokemon Go" database by sets.

"Pokemon Go" is playable on IOS and Android devices. The mentioned Valentine's Day event has yet to be officially announced by Niantic Labs. Stay tuned for more news.
