This summer, fans will finally get to see the alliance of "The Defenders." However, things won't be so easy at the beginning. Spoilers for Netflix's new superhero show tease on character transformations, feuding between members of the "Defenders" team, and potential betrayals.

"The Defenders" was announced last year and since then, fans have been wanting to hear more about the characters and the story. According to IGN, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will be one of the leads in the upcoming series. As expected, Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson will also be tagging along.

While Foggy and Matt have always stuck up for each other in the past, it appears that things have changed. In "The Defenders," Foggy will move on from the issues that his best friend always gets involved in. He will be working at the Hogarth, Chao, and Benowitz firm. It has yet to be revealed if this is sort of a betrayal or if Foggy is working undercover for Matt.

In the comic books, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have had feuds. It appears that the same story will repeat in "The Defenders." Mike Colter's Luke may not be very happy about Krysten Ritter's Jessica joining the indomitable team.

Meanwhile, fans went in a frenzy when it was confirmed that Misty Knight will be starring in "The Defenders." Simone Missick will be playing the role. Fans know the character very well for her amazing investigations and wit. It is speculated that viewers may be gifted with the chance to see her cybernetic arm in "The Defenders."

As for Charlie Cox's take on his character's move to "The Defenders," it appears that he won't have such a good time. The actor spoke with Entertainment Weekly last month, revealing that Matt took Elektra's (Elodie Yung) death "very badly." This could be hinting that fans will see Matt/Daredevil in a dark and depressed state when "The Defenders" kicks off.

"The Defenders" is slated for premiere sometime summer 2017. The stand-alone series for "Daredevil," on the other hand, has yet to get a release date. Stay tuned for more Netflix news.
